I have seen this done on other blogs and so I thought I'd give it a try with the boys. To set the tone, we are just finished with dinner all sitting around the table...I ask Adam(A) and Tyler(T)
What kinds of things does Mommy tell you to do?
A-Pick up toys T-COLOR (he shouts this)
What makes Mommy happy?
A-When we help you T-I'm NOT gonna help!
What makes Mommy sad?
A-When we do something wrong T-make something dirty (how appropriate)
What makes Mommy laugh?
A-funny faces T-(he makes a funny face and says "I'm a scary monster!")
What is Mommy's favorite thing to do?
A-work around the house T-clean the table (nice they think I LOVE to clean up after them!)
What is Mommy good at?
A-playing games T-(shouting) playing games
What is Mommy's favorite food?
A-spagetti T-carrots
What do you like to do with Mommy?
A-play T-walk
How do you know that Mommy loves you?
A-cause you told me T-cause(smiling sweetly) you rock me.
:) aren't they sweet and funny! They give me my daily needed dose of laughter!

Angela, I love this. :) Your kids are just darling. I love hearing the random things that kids say. And why do all kids think that our favorite thing to do is clean/do dishes?
By the way, I love the fall pictures you had done with your family. The colors are really pretty. Also, the new big picture you have in your heading is really great...maybe one of these days you'll get a picture of everyone looking up and smiling. :)
Hi Angela, like Jenny I love the new family picture you have posted, it's fabulous.
And I too cracked up over all the kids sayings, they're a hoot and most kids do automatically think we love cooking and cleaning and doing laundry being as that's pretty much all we do.
One thing Hannah used to say that made us all laugh was if she sometimes wanted ice cream or something along those lines that I tried to limit the girls to I'd tell her she could have a little bit and she'd indignantly say "NO! A BIG bit!" We still use that phrase.
