Where did a month go? Wow that flew by. Max had his one month check up today. He weighed in at 11lb 11ozs. He is 90% for weight and 75% for height. The doctor told me they like babies to gain an ounce a day at this point and it had been 11 days since they had weighed him (circumcision day) and he gained exactly 11 ounces! He is a healthy boy. He is starting to coo which is a lot of fun for the kids. Tyler asks what he is saying and Gracie just yells "MOM HE'S TALKING". Max doesn't always like to be held. There are times that he will be fussing in my arms and so I lay him on a blanket on the floor and he is just content. I just wish he were safe there! He has almost been stepped on too many times already even with an adult sitting right by him. Kids are just clumsy, you know. He is sleeping decently. He was doing 5-6 hour stretches at night but those have decreased to 3-4 hour stretches lately. He really is a very good baby and we are starting to get into a nice routine. He had his first bottle on Sunday and took it wonderfully. He is a wonderful addition to our family.
Adam is having a great summer. He is enjoying being head of the house. He is always looking for a project to do. His latest project is a big thanks to Grandpa Marty for giving Adam a big box of loose change. He told him if he sorted and counted it all he could keep it and take it on vacation with him. So of course Adam jumped right on it and all of it is now sorted and today we started rolling it all into the little papers. It has been an excellent lesson on counting, adding, sorting and the value of a penny! :)He desperately needs a new bike so perhaps he might even have enough for that. (yes there was a lot of change). More big news, Adam lost his first tooth on Monday the 5th. A very exciting day for him. The tooth fairy came that night and left him $3.
Tyler is thoroughly enjoying having his big brother around. They play and fight all day long. Tyler is so good at entertaining himself, I don't see him much. I have to go find him sometimes to see what he's up to and spend time with him. He is always up for reading a book or playing a game and he is fantastic at puzzles. He recently had a mishap with his bike. A training wheel fell off while he was riding it. Justin is trying to fix it but for now he is without a bike unless he is willing to try without training wheels which he insisted he is not going to. He enjoyed the first week of t-ball and now he is pretty bored with it. His coach the first day was fantastic and enthusiastic and really got the kids excited. His coach ever since has been a high school girl who doesn't appear to care too much and well Tyler is bored! He plays for about half of the hour and then sits with me and I am okay with that. He starts swim lessons with Adam next week...should be very interesting.
Gracie girl has an amazing vocabulary lately. I have to remind myself that she is only two because she talks so well and is SO independent. She does things that I still struggle to get Tyler to do on his own. She can even buckle her own car seat! She is by my side all day helping with Max every chance she gets. She had zero interest in learning letters or colors and I quit pushing it. We will have to teach her that stuff without her knowing I have decided. She is more interested in singing a song or playing...fine by me. She runs everywhere she goes, I mean she never walks...no exaggeration there. Her hair is growing and has a very pretty curl to it. She is only getting up once a night to go to the potty and going right back to bed these days. Some nights (gasp) she even sleeps all night long. :) She is hilarious and makes me laugh many times a day.
Justin is enjoying watching the Tour de France. He also is obsessed with the water problem in our back yard. He is out there every day trying to figure out why one spot of our back yard is so water logged. I keep teasing him about it how someday when he's retired it can be a day long project! :)
We have been swimming a lot. This neighborhood pool is awesome. We love love love it.
Having 4 children has been very doable. This transition so far has been the easiest one yet by a long shot. Don't get me wrong, my house is trashed, I am behind on laundry and I am exhausted but there are just less crazy moments throughout the day than before. The kids have adjusted remarkably well and I guess so have I! :)
Wow, long winded tonight. Time just goes by so quickly I want to make sure I am writing down all this stuff!!!!
time for some pictures

once again I do not have any pictures of tyler per his request. He simply does not enjoy having his photo taken...so I just have to sneak them in from time to time without torturing him too much. :)
