Weekends are SO FUN!

We had such a nice weekend! My weekend kind of started Thursday night when I was invited to the Taste of Home Cooking School with my friend Erin. That was SO much fun! I learned lots and got lots of free stuff, it was great. Friday, both Tyler and Grace cooperated for picture taking at the mall...wow that NEVER happens! It was fantastic.

Other big news, we bunked the boys beds! You would think we had taken them to Disneyland! They now think they have the coolest room in the world(while I do admit it is pretty cool:) Bedtime hasn't gone too badly either. We do have to put the ladder away during the day because the adventurous little sister is very capable of climbing that ladder very quickly! :)

Friday we had a potential babysitter over to meet the kids. Her mom works with Justin and she lives 4 houses down the street. She is 15 and the kids LOVED her, she was just awesome! I can't wait to have her come again.

Here is our silly boy Tyler, because you know just riding the bike without sitting on the soccer ball is just boring!

Adam is doing quite well on his scooter...I am so glad he didn't try the soccer ball trick on the scooter!

In case you can't see it, her shirt says, "my mom rocks"...of course! :)

SIGH< My darling boys and I had a date on Saturday night. I took them to see the movie EARTH. I highly recommend it, it was very cool. Anyways, here is Tyler in his 80's hat that he brought home from Grammy's house over Easter...it says Vancouver on it and pictures of whales...it's so cool! I had to quickly explain that they simply don't allow 80's hats in the movie theater:)he complied.

Me and my boys all ready for the movies!

At breakfast this morning they all 3 insisted on sitting this close together...I love that they love each other!...at least some of the time:)

The big OUCH! Gracie fell at church this morning and hit her lip HARD. It's very swollen and looks SO sore.

BUT< she's still smiling!

In Praise of Stay-at-Home Moms

After recently being reffered to as a "parking lot mom" by a fellow mom who was a "working mom" I couldn't help but feel a little offended. After all, where did she pick her daughter up from school? Or was that the point that she didn't pick her daughter up from school. i could go on a long time about this, but instead I'll tell you about this amazing book. It is titled, In Praise of Stay-at-Home Moms by Dr. Laura Schlessinger and it came to me at the perfect time. Every stay-at-home mom needs to read it! It is just plain awesome, I enjoyed every bit of it. I won't bore you with the details of it all, just read it. and here's a BIG shout out to all you fellow stay-at-home moms, rock on! :)

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter everyone! We had a really nice Easter in Clarkston with Justin's family. The cousins had a blast playing together doing all the fun Easter activities. Some pictures from the weekend...

Coloring eggs.

Tyler did really well coloring eggs, he only broke like 3, we moved on to frosting cupcakes...those aren't quite as breakable. :)

sorry I failed to flip this picture prior to uploading...notice the clip in her hair! sure Gracie, you leave it in when GRANDMA puts it there! :)

In their Easter best

The Easter Bunny brought everyone new sunglasses!

Tyler wore his a long time, cool shades dude.

Miss Gracie in her Easter best...she looked precious. Please note the clip in her hair, again placed by Grandma! :)

Adam and Ann, adorable cousins.
If you'll notice we have a new family picture above...I announced that there was a $100 reward for whomever could get a picture of my family with everyone looking and smiling. Well let me tell you we had 3 cameras and 4 adults trying their hardest...not too bad if ask me...the winner was Steve, I think he was bummed when he found out I was kidding AFTER the picture was taken of course! :)

Finally some pictures!

I got a new camera! My old one officially quit working so I was forced to actually go spend the money on a new one. I have been nursing my old one along for months, some days it worked and some days it didn't! We got a Nikon coolpix, it's tiny and blue and very easy to use. We haven't printed pictures from it to see the quality yet, but so far, I think I like it. Here's some pictures from me playing around with it.

So, it's been a while since I've gotten a picture of all three of my kids looking at the camera. Please note, I have officially given up on getting a picture of all three of them looking AND smiling. I am just convinced it will never happen. For your entertainment and to prove I have legitimate reasons for my giving up here are just 4 of my many sad attempts to take their picture the other day.

almost, but adam's not really looking and tyler looks like he could be filling his pants.

now we have grumpy faces

not quite

Adam's ditched out and well thanks tyler...you really are darling.

I do like this picture quite a lot. They are always sad to see Daddy go to work...especially Gracie! It's so precious.

So, here are INDIVIDUAL pictures of my cute kids SMILING! :)
