Tyler turns 3!!!!

We celebrated Tyler's 3rd birthday on Saturday. It was a great time. He had a Nemo themed birthday. I can't believe he is 3 already...well tomorrow! Time just flies by.

Posing with his sand castle nemo cake. Sporting his darling party hat. When I asked him what he wanted for his birthday (meaning what gifts he would like) he responded party hats, so party hats he got! :)
The secretary where Justin works is our cake baker and she does an awesome job!

this picture cracked me up! here he is eating his birthday lunch...hot dogs as requested...I just wonder what is so funny? :)
Opening his gift from Adam...Adam explaining what it is...new train tracks how fun!
He sang to himself and clapped at the end! :) so cute!
Enjoying his cake.
Having fun playing with all the cousins at the park.
Tyler and Caroline...isn't this the cutest picture?
Swinging with Grandpa Tim!!
What a great party we had. We are so thankful for our little Tylerman!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Funny Kids

I had to laugh at Tyler the other day. I told him we had to leave to go pick up Adam and he said WAIT...ran and got this Mickey Mouse hat, put it on and said, "There, now I look like a MAN". I really don't know where he comes up with this stuff but he gives me my daily chuckle.

My sweet Gracie! She looked so sweet before bed the other night and so I took a few pictures of her...aren't they sweet?
pretty in pink and all giggles!
all ready for bed, with her blankie and her bear that Daddy bought her when she was born.

This is a classic Gracie look:)

Go Cougs!

On Saturday we took a trip to Pullman. My parents came along and we took the kids to see our old stompin grounds. It brought back so many memories! The first stop was of course Cougar Country Drive in. The most delicious burgers ever. My boys had their first cub burger! Next we loaded the kids in the stroller and checked out campus. Last time I was there I definitely didn't need a stroller and pushing two kids in a stroller up all those hills was brutal! I couldn't believe all the changes. It was weird because it looked a lot different, yet is was still the same old Pullman. We still got the best feeling being there. It's like you are part of a coug family or something. I know that sounds kind of sappy but it's true! You look around and all you see is Crimson! We stopped by Alex and Anna's tailgate party. They are season ticket holders and tailgate before each home game. A fun fun thing!! Next we headed to the Bookie. That was a the biggest change, it wasn't even in the same place as before! Then we headed to the game. The kids had so much fun! They ate game food (junk food) and cheered and clapped. It was especially fun to see the Cougs do so well. We made it until the rain started to pour and that was our cue to leave :) Way to go Cougs! We will most definitely be making this a annual family event...if not biannual :)
Future Cougs!
Looking down into Holland Library. Very neat for them.
Adam really got into the game! He would have stayed even in the rain.
Tyler had fun too, but mostly he enjoyed his snickers and popcorn...he's still a little too wiggly!

Kids Update

Well, yes my kids is about the only topic all that I write about...that's just the phase of life that I am in! :)
Adam- He is doing wonderfully with Pre School. We had quite a few nights and mornings where he did not want to go. He would complain of being nervous etc. When I picked him up Monday he told me, "school is way more fun than being at home" and "can I go to school every day?" (he currently goes 3 morning's a week). I told him that could be arranged! :) This morning he was very excited to go! Its just been great. He comes home so happy and excited and talks non stop for about an hour. I really truly think he enjoys it a lot. I have been enjoying the time with just two kids. Grace normally naps in the morning so I get at least an hour with just Tyler. Both Tyler and I have really been enjoying that!
Tyler-his chin is almost fully healed! FEW! that was such a challenge keeping it clean and dry. I am so thankful it never got infected. Tyler is getting excited for his birthday this month, he picked a Nemo theme for his party. I can't believe he is turning 3! 3 feels so big...definitely leaving the toddler phase. He gets easier by the day in that he goes to the bathroom by himself, dresses/undresses himself, shoes on himself! It's great. He is our little comedian. He asked to scratch his back the other day and apparently I wasn't doing it quite right because he said to me, "no mom, I want you to use your claws!". LOL!
Grace-A full time walker and I am not exaggerating at all. She no longer crawls, she toddles every where. She also no longer wants to be held all the time which is a relief but also is a little sad. She is so cute walking!!! She finds things to carry around the house and then loves to brings me things. She is feeding herself full time as well. No more baby food. She flat out refuses that stuff. She wants whatever we are all eating. She also is very much enjoying patty cake and those types of games right now.
Wow, should I say anything about Justin or I? :) HA! We are both just enjoying the kids and trying to get into better physical shape. We have been getting up early and hitting the gym etc. Justin continues to stay busy at work and loves loves loves his job. I too, stay VERY busy at work and I love my job...most days! :) Take care everyone!

What a Weekend!

Let's start with Mr. Tyler this time. While at my parents house this weekend Tyler fell in their bathroom and cut open his chin. No one was in there with him at the time so we don't know for sure what happened but he claims he fell and hit it on the toliet. (how? I have NO idea) Anyways, it bled pretty good and it was pretty good cut on his chin but we put a band aid on and headed home. After an hour or so it really started to swell up and the wound got bigger and bigger. After debating whether or not to take him into urgent care I called the pediatrician, described it to him to see what he thought. He said take him in so we did. Luckily they were able to close it with steri strips and we didn't have to do stitches. Here are a few pictures. Now the challenge has been keeping it clean and dry...two things which Tyler's chin just isn't. I suppose this is the first of many accidents like this!

yea, don't look so innocent buddy! :)
looks like it's healing nicely eh? Now since I don't have a before picture, you'll just have to imagine it open 1/4 inch, it was not pretty.

Then there is Miss Grace. Well she decided to start walking everywhere!!! She loves the new challenge and claps for herself when she falls down. It's so much fun to watch. Here are a few pics.

couldn't resist the bare butt shot
for some reason she got a big kick out of walking around as a naked bird! ;)

So the whole reason we were at my folks house this weekend was because we took the kids to the Walla Walla fair. We missed our fair because it went on while we were on vacation and the boys were really looking forward to it. Well they had a blast. We started the day with the parade and the candy thrown was a huge hit. They rode rides, looked at the animals and ate some yummy junk food. It was lots of fun.

Tyler attempting to pedal this tractor...I had to push him through the entire course and let me tell you the kid can't steer! We ran into one hay bail after another!

Adam is so brave these days, he loved the fair rides!!!
Isn't this a cute picture? The boys are waiting for the parade to start.
