Tyler's Birthday!

On your 4th birthday it only seems right that you should celebrate 4 times right? Well much to Tyler's confusion we pretty much will be! Saturday we saw Justin's parents and sister at a family reunion, so they gave him their gifts=celebration number one. Yesterday, we celebrated Tyler's 4th birthday with a family party=celebration number two. Today, he brought cupcakes to school for his birthday=celebration number 3 and Tomorrow on his ACTUAL birthday we are taking him to Chuck E. Cheeses with his friends=celebration number 4. In my eyes he deserves as many celebrations as we can fit in! He is such a sweetheart. He has grown up so much and we love him very very much!

Yep, he's turning 4!!!

He choose Horton Hears a Who for his theme, it was very fun!

Another fabulous cake made by our favorite cake baker.

I LOVE this picture, we are singing to him here.

PRESENTS! He got a spiderman scooter and it goes really fast:)

Happy Birthday to our SWEET SWEET TYLERMAN! Where oh where did 4 years go?
a little look back just for fun...

Update

Here is Adam sporting his school uniform. How handsome is he? When I first found out he had to wear this uniform I was kind of bummed. I would prefer a little more freedom with it, but now that we have it, I really like it. No decisions in the morning, he just gets dressed and knows exactly what to put on and my oh my does he look adorable in it?!?

School is going wonderfully for Adam. He had his first FULL day of kindergarten yesterday and did great. He got into the van and said, "it was really a pretty easy day mom, I think I'm ready for 1st grade". I had to laugh! Wow, pretty confident after just one day! :) Too funny. He loves his teacher and let me tell you there is nothing not to love about her. He has made great friends and his favorite part is getting to eat lunch at school. I sneaked a note in his lunchbox yesterday and he loved it! fun stuff.
Tyler continues to love pre school. We had a couple mornings where he wasn't sure if he wanted to go, but he willingly went and had a wonderful time.
Grace is driving me crazy. Whoops did I just say that. But, SHE IS! She is obnoxious, FULL of energy and I have trouble keeping up with her most days. :) What's that you ask, why yes she'll be two next month:)

A Lovely Day for a Hike!

We didn't have any plans today and wanted to do something fun as a family so we decided to go hiking! We have heard that there is a great trail up Badger Mountain so we decided to check it out. We started out by thinking we would just see how far we got and enjoy the view from however far we got, main goal...have fun. The trail was 1.4 miles by the way and of course not stroller friendly. Well, we started with everyone on foot and quickly Tyler and Grace wanted to be carried. So Justin and I took turns carrying each of them. I had my trusty pouch sling and it very successfully helped me carry my almost 4 year old up a steep trail for over a mile. Not to shabby eh? People who would pass us would compliment us and we were glad that they saved their "holy cow they are crazy" for when we couldn't hear them:) It was a killer workout and Justin and I are both sore tonight but we will for sure do this again. It was a blast.

We felt so proud and relieved to reach the top. We really thought Adam was going to be the one to make us turn around, but he literally had to wait for us and kept saying, "come on you guys, we have to keep going, we HAVE to get to the top!". It was a really cool experience for us all.

As you can see the view was well worth the hike.

My three troopers!! It was such a perfect day, the weather was just perfect about 75 degrees.

Grace is sticking out her tongue! I wonder what she is thinking! :)

Cougar Pride

Once a Cougar, Always a Cougar. We spent Saturday in Pullman and it was great. We drove by all our old apartments, drove by the rotunda where we ate as freshman, walked through all of campus reminiscing. It makes me feel good seeing all the crimson! I love that feeling you get being on campus. Most everyone I know who went to Pullman, loves Pullman. I can't really explain it. Any coug alum out there can attest to this, yes? Let's hear it?

Tailgating with the ultimate Cougar fans, Uncle Alex and Aunt Anna. They know how to tailgate! :)

I thought this picture turned out cool. I on purposely had the two stand way over there and Adam sit up close, I thought it would be more artsy fartsy...yea what a joke, I am shocked I got all three in the darn picture!

Future coug?

And now, for your viewing pleasure a few really great pictures of our family.

Grace is in copy cat mode and thought it was funny to not cooperate just
like big brother. If you look at all three you eventually see each one of our faces! :) cool huh?!?

School Daze

So, it is weird for me to send my little guys off to school. I am used to being with them all day everyday and sharing in every memory they are making. So once I get to pick them up from school I simply can't wait to hear how their day has gone and everthing that they have done. I just wanted to share some of the great things I have heard about this week of school thus far.
Tyler's synopsis of his first day:
"I went to recess and had fruit snacks for snack". Apparently that is the only important part in his mind because that is about all he had to say on Wednesday. Except randomly today he has thrown out little details about Wednesday that are just plain funny.
Tyler: "Mom, I sneezed at school yesterday and no one say God Bless You, so I say, God Bless Myself".
Tyler: "Mom, my shoe came untied so one of those teachers there tied it for me".
Tyler: "Mom, a girl named medicine held the flag yesterday". (I am going to guess he is talking about Madison!) I've got to tell you I am anxiously awaiting any other random thought that might come out at any moment:)

Adam's synopsis of just ONE of the 3 days he has gone:
"We had PE today and my PE teacher's name is Mr. Aitoro but we can call him Mr. A. We ran outside and we hopped on one foot and had a flag that we had to throw to our partner and my partner was Zoe. Then we went to the church to practice for next week when we really go to church and I kept laughing because the teacher pretended to bless us and my friends kept making me laugh. But I didn't get in trouble because if you get in trouble you don't get a sticker for the day. And once you get 10 stickers you get to pick a prize out of the goodies bag. He goes On and On and On and On and On and let me tell I LOVE IT! :) I am predicting that the kid might say all of two words while at school and then let's loose when he gets home! :)
Adam: "Wow, Kindergarten is WAY tougher than Pre School" he says with much dismay. I ask him why and he replies "We had a coloring page that you had to finish before the music turned off but I didn't get it done and so I had to bring it home!" Oh no...my poor type A child. (and yes he insisted on finishing the coloring page the minute we got home)
And my favorite one-
Mom: "So, Adam what is your favorite thing about Kindergarten so far?"
Adam: "EVERYTHING!".
I love it!:)
